I had not meant to write anything about this decision of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, but I have realized how many more songs are out there that would in theory also be banned for the same reason. This hit home with me when I was listening to CD in the car last night. I was listening to Christy Moore's version of Fairytale of New York.
I realized that it's hypocritical for people to complain about this ruling but not care that we censor numerous other swears on the radio. A radio edit of Money for Nothing exists, so let's move on and get over it.
