Thank god the government is saying the line should be a Skytrain line. It was utter lunacy to suggest that it should be light rail.
Light rail on grade is the biggest transit disaster possible. It costs almost as much as a fully separated rail transit system but does not have the benefits of freedom from traffic.
Bus Rapid Transit - such as the B Lines in Vancouver - have shown themselves to be much more flexible and cost efficient than light rail.
