HST Shocker! No, I am kidding

I have assumed the HST would be defeated ever since the successful petition.   Here are some quick observations on the results:

• The result is actually closer than I thought it would be
• 25 ridings voted to keep the HST - all of them but Delta South Liberal held
• Highest Yes percentage - Surrey Green Timbers at 75.51%
• Highest No percentage - West Vancouver Capilano 64.52%
• Highest Yes vote - Vancouver Fraserview 15,674
• Highest No vote - West Vancouver Capilano 15,676
• Most votes - Comox Valley 27,612
• Least votes - North Coast 6,149
